Lilith’s soul has never been her own. This is not unusual in Eizreth, a vast world that relies on reincarnation to sustain its population.

Except Lilith carries the soul of a god—the Wraith, who’s past lives have been rumored to turn entire villages to ash. A skilled marksman in hiding, Lilith would do anything to keep her savage soul lost in the dark.

But the gods must be balanced—each pair bonded to their opposite—for Eizreth’s magic to survive. Three hundred years ago, those bonds were broken and much of the land has been dying ever since.

Jarek, the God Eater, remembers that day. He remembers Lilith’s ancestor and her involvement in his father’s war. He remembers his own failures, which have turned his homeland into a barren hellscape where sentient souls are harvested, hoarded and sold.

Newly awoken from stasis and tasked with hunting Lilith down, Jarek will stop at nothing to right the wrongs of his past. But Lilith won’t be led so easily.
